Caroline Revitt

We are delighted to announce that Caroline Revitt is the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Newmarket East by-election.

Caroline has lived in and around Newmarket for over 40 years, and understands the special place that Newmarket has as being close to both Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

As a retired business professional and trained teacher, she's proud to already be ingrained in our community. From protecting the local environment as a director of the Newmarket Chalk Stream Trust, to her involvement in the Newmarket Arts Society, to her work in the community orchard.

The Liberal Democrats were only 8 votes away from getting a councillor here last time, the best chance for a positive change for Newmarket is to vote for Caroline and the hard working Lib Dem team for their plan for Newmarket:

Fight for regeneration of the town centre that works for everyone

Our town centre should be able to pull in people from far and wide and drive our local economy. Instead at the moment the High Street looks tired, with many local independent shops driven out by high council rents and replaced by chains and betting shops. Let's build a High Street we can be proud of.

Make new developments a net positive.

Protect Newmarket’s limited public green spaces and ensure new developments come with additional infrastructure so we all benefit.

Be the local champion that Newmarket needs.

Be a strong local voice on climate change and social issues, and support our amazing community to keep making a positive difference in our community.
